001 - Judge Yosh Yamanaka
In this episode of the podcast, retired judge Yosh Yamanaka explains his transition from attorney to judge in the area of worker's compensation law and why that was the right move for him. He then goes on to explain what a typical week looked like.
Later in the episode, Yosh speaks of cases where people in his courtroom exposed themselves as frauds.
Finally, we wrap up with advice for aspiring judges and Yosh's look back on some key points in his time in the role.
During the wrap-up, Yosh mentions his latest project, cleaning up unexploded ordnance dropped on Laos during the Vietnam War. We'll do a separate podcast on this project in the near future, but in the meantime, here's a link to his charity:
A special note: this is our first recorded episode, so it might be a little rough around the edges.
